Instead of letting things slide and feeling secretly bitter, tell people why you’re upset and give them the opportunity to fix them first.

So okay I knew this was coming. You first gotta be open and honest to see how it’s received. If people ignore, shame, attack, or hurt you in any way when you open up to them about why their actions hurt you, that’s when you leave those specific people. At that point it’s safe to say they are not mature enough to handle a proper respectful relationship, friendship, partnership, etc. and it is not worth opening up to them in future. If their behavior is consistent, then they are not worth your time at all. BUT not everyone is toxic, so you have to give yourself the chance to see their reaction first.
